Co-writer of Telltale Games’ first season of The Walking Dead, Gary Whitta, is returning to the series as a story consultant for the game’s fourth and final season.

‘Collaborating with Telltale on the first season of Clementine’s journey through the world of The Walking Dead was one of the highlights of my career,’ Whitta reflected before adding ‘so reuniting with them to now bring her story to a close with this final season feels like a homecoming.’

The former editor-in-chief of PC Gamer has been very busy in the meantime and in between time having co-wrote the story for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, and the script for M. Night Shyamalan movie After Earth. Fans should be pleased to hear of Whitta’s involvement, though, as Clementine and Lee’s tale from 2012 still stands as the highlight of the series.

The Walking Dead: The Final Season is set to launch in 2018 on PC, mobile and consoles, and will see Clementine return to the leading role.
