Kenny Omega is one of the hottest professional wrestlers on the planet, and an executive vice president at start-up promotion All Elite Wrestling. He likes games, too. And it sounds like he's found a wonderful way to marry both business and pleasure in Apex Legends.

Speaking to Kotaku over E3, Omega said that he talks business with some whilst playing EA's battle royale game: 'we’ll squad up, join a party and we’ll talk all the business you want while we play.'

When asked if playing online with Omega got anyone an AEW contract, the former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion said it 'may or may not have.'

'I’m not going to lie there are times when I’m playing with people online, whether it be just random people or it be people I’ve just set up sessions with and, via how they act online with me, I can tell this guy would be a handful backstage,' the Canadian grappler added.

He puts a lot of stock into how people act during these business meetings. Omega said 'You’ll get a feeling for how they interact with people, how they multitask, how they handle pressure, if they’re willing to help you out in a jam. You get an indication of how people really are.'

AEW's next big event is Fyter Fest (yes, it's a play on Fyre Fest), which is taking place during the CEO tournament on June 29. Omega is scheduled to be be partnering up with his Elite pals The Young Bucks against The Lucha Bros and a mystery partner yet to be announced.

I'm very excited. The company's first card, Double or Nothing, was terrific, and Lord knows American pro wrestling needs something fresh right now.
