The World of Warcraft expansion Wrath of the Lich King looks to be close to release after adverts showing a November 13 release date began popping up on independent
World of Warcraft websites and a pre-release content patch was released to the test realm.
While an official statement from Blizzard has yet to be released – we’re checking with the publisher now – the advertisement, which has been spotted on both Wowhead.com and the popular World of Warcraft database Thottbot.com, looks legitimate to us.
This, coupled with the release of a 1Gb content patch – 3.0.2 – to the game’s Public Test Realms, which includes many features that the Wrath of the Lich King expansion will bring, including the ability to go to a barber shop and the activation of Achievements – suggests players won’t have to wait until next year to get their hands on one of the most anticipated game expansions ever.
We’ll have more on this story very soon.
