Yes, you read it correctly. The Burning Crusade will be released in January 2007 to enable the development team to add a bit of extra polish to the highly anticipated expansion. The good news, for those taking part anyway, is that the closed beta will now be extended to allow for feedback during the final stages of development.

Blizzard promises an announcement regarding more specific worldwide release dates, pricing and other details in the near future.
