Sierra Entertainment has announced that its highly anticipated action-packed real-time strategy title, World in Conflict, will be released for PC on September 21, 2007.

Players find themselves at the heart of the most brutal conflict in human history as the superpowers of the Soviet Union and the United States of America clash in a war of epic proportions.

Alongside the standard edition, a Collector’s Edition will also be released. This bumper package will include an authentic piece of the Berlin Wall, a bonus DVD from The History Channel, behind the scenes videos, a Creative Headset HS-390 and limited edition collector’s packaging.

Sierra has also announced the World in Conflict July BETA Test Event. This is scheduled to begin on July 11 and will run through to the end of the month. The Beta will feature three multiplayer maps: Home Town, Farmland and Riviera (exclusive to pre-order customers).
