The delay of The Witcher 3 from 2014 to February 2015 will have no negative impact on the development of Cyberpunk 2077, CD Projekt has told GameSpot.

“Cyberpunk 2077 is developed by a separate team within CD Projekt Red, so the development of Cyberpunk 2077 is not really affected,” CEO of the CD Projekt Marcin Iwinski explained.

He added: “We are working hard to deliver an outstanding RPG and rest assured, that all the learnings on The Witcher 3 are being applied to the Cyberpunk 2077 development.”

Cyberpunk 2077 will be released no earlier than 2015 on as yet unspecified platforms. Players will be thrown into the dark future of the year 2077 and into a world where advanced technologies have become both the salvation and the curse of humanity. We’re promised a multi-thread, non-linear story designed for mature players that will take place in the sprawling metropolis of Night City and its surroundings.
