Capcom’s booth at the Tokyo Games Show was dispensing an English language press release for Professor Layton vs Ace Attorney, suggesting that the game may receive a Western release.

As spotted by GamesRadar, the Anglicised document references the fact that “English names are TBD”. This press release is also the first time the game has been officially referred to by its English title.

While neither of these details explicitly confirm a release outside of Japan, they’ll certainly give hope to fans of both series in Europe and the US.

The sequel to Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth – Gyakuten Kenji 2 – is the first game in the series to not receive an international release.

The Tokyo document confirms that in the Japanese version of Professor Layton vs Ace Attorney, Layton and Luke will be voiced by Yo Oizumi and Maki Horikita, their usual actors. Phoenix Wright and Maya will be voiced by Hiroki Narimiya and Mirei Kiritani, who will also star in the live-action Ace Attorney Film.
