Sci-fi MMO WildStar will launch its free-to-play update, titled WildStar Reloaded, on September 29, NCSoft and Carbine Studios have announced.

The free-to-play launch is described as the game’s biggest ever update, offering not only a new business model but new content, enhanced game systems, and many other improvements. New players are promised a streamlined starting experience, while veteran players will be rewarded for having supported the title in its pay to play form.

All players with active subscriptions at the time of the free-to-play transition will also receive exclusive items as a bonus.

The game is currently in its second phase of a closed beta which is focussed on fine-tuning the experience prior to the update rolling out on September 29.
