Wii U may receive a version of next summer’s racing title GRID 2, Codemasters has told Joystiq.
The gorgeous-looking racing sequel is thus far only confirmed for release on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC, but associate producer Iain Smith told Joystiq that “there’s every opportunity at some point down the line” for game to move across to Nintendo’s new console.
“It’s not being ruled out certainly,” Smith said. “And certainly [that applies] across all Codemasters titles. Some platforms are more appropriate for certain types of games, but we just have to make decisions as and when they’re appropriate. We can’t say too much more at the moment.”
GRID 2’s release is far enough away to suggest the publisher has enough time to get a Wii U version ready to launch simultaneously with other versions.
