Nintendo is reported to be having difficulties developing the Wii U hardware. The problem is said to lie in the wireless controller communicating with the Wii U hardware, according to 01net. Notably, the streaming technology does not work properly.

Right now the devkit controller is wired, as it was seen at E3. Developers are being sent software updates on an almost daily basis.

Nintendo had an internal target of a June 2012 launch for the Wii U, but apparently the company is looking at pushing that back to September 2012.

The hardware is also on its third iteration, with a fourth allegedly expected before the end of the month.

Nintendo has also confirmed that the circle pad attachment for 3DS is real, and availability will be announced at a later date.
