Ubisoft has unveiled new details of the Wii version of Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands. The game is in the hands of Ubisoft’s Quebec City Studio and is being created from the ground up to utilise the full graphical capabilities of the Wii – we’re promised a “smooth, clear and impressive graphical experience”.

PoP: The Forgotten Sands is a new adventure set within the Sands of Time universe. After leaving his father’s kingdom to prove his worth, the Prince is drawn towards a mysterious realm. Here he discovers that he must harness his acrobatic abilities and powers over the environment to save a mystic palace from unfathomable evil.

The Wii game will feature 15 hours of original storyline as well as alternate paths, secret areas and unlockables.

Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands is scheduled to ship May 14, 2010 for Wii, PS3, Xbox 360, PC, DS and PSP.
