SEGA has announced a new Extreme Mode for the upcoming The House of the Dead 2 & 3 Return. By beating both House of the Dead 2 and House of the Dead 3, a new Extreme Mode for House of the Dead 3 will be unlocked.
This new and exclusive single-player game mode features quicker enemy attacks and a smaller bullet radius, but does provide the player with a faster reloading shotgun and a new melee attack. When the enemy gets within melee range, pressing the A button on the Wii Remote will unleash a powerful attack capable of taking down several enemies. The melee attack can also be used to defend against the enemy, missile attacks and also boss attacks. However, players will need to use it carefully, with a reload required after each use.
The House of the Dead 2 & 3 Return is scheduled for release across Europe on March 28 and is fully compatible with the Wii Zapper peripheral.
