EA has announced that the upcoming Wii version of FIFA 08 will feature an exclusive game mode called Footii Party. This mode will star Brazillian football superstar Ronaldinho as a customised character and will enable players to take control of their own Mii characters.

Footii Party will introduce unique party games to FIFA 08, including Table Football. Each game has been created as a multiplayer, social experience designed to engage and entertain players of all ages.

FIFA 08 on Wii will also feature revolutionary FreeMotion controls making it easy for all players, including those new to the series, to easily take part in competitive matches. EA claims that the new control system offers more control than ever before, but remains easy to pick up and play.

An in-game Football Academy will enable players to learn basic and advanced controls across more than 30 tutorials, each lesson teaching the player how to dominate on the pitch.

FreeMotion will enable players to pass, shoot and perform trick moves with a flick of the wrist. Players will also be able to take control of the keeper in one-on-one situations to deny the opposition.

FIFA 08 is scheduled for release worldwide this autumn for Wii, Xbox 360, PS3, PlayStation 2, Nintendo DS, PSP and PC.
