Wii Fit U has been announced during Nintendo’s E3 press conference, offering a range of new ways to play and keep fit.

The game once again uses the Balance Board, but this is now combined with the Wii U GamePad to create new workout and game types. A trailer saw a couple trampolining, shooting mud monsters with water, tobogganing and more.

A portable Wii Fit Metre means you can track your fitness when out and about and upload this data to the Wii U GamePad when back home.

It will also be possible to use the Wii U GamePad as a dedicated display, in conjunction with the Balance Board and Wii Remote, meaning the TV can be used for something else.
