A “small number” of users may experience a “slower than normal” boot-up when restarting their Xbox One console for the first time after installing today’s New Xbox One Experience update, Microsoft has warned, which may require players to hard reset their system.
If your console gets stuck on the green Xbox One boot-up animation after installing the update, Microsoft advises that you “allow up to 15 minutes” before touching the console.
However, “if the screen doesn’t change after that amount of time has passed,” players should “hold the power button on the front of the console for 10 seconds until the console powers down. Wait 15 seconds, then power the console back on.”
The console should then reboot as normal.
There are a number of other potential issues Xbox One users should be wary of after installing today’s update, too, including blank tiles in My Games & Apps, and issues with signing in to your Xbox Live profile. For the full list head through here.
