According to reports, Sony will release the PSP in Korea on May 2nd 2005. The handheld will come with internet features right out of the box, including web browsing, streaming movies and music.

As was the case in the US, the PSP will only come as part of a Value Pack which contains the unit, an AC adapter, battery pack, headphone with remote control, a carrying pouch, a cleaning cloth, a strap band, and a 32MB Memory Stick Duo. The first 100,000 Value Packs will include a limited-time membership to a wireless internet service and Spider-man 2 movie on UMD.

Korean gamers who want to use the internet features of the PSP once their free first month is over, will need to pay a monthly subscription of 5,000 won ($4.92) to use the NESPOT service. While nothing has been announced, we expect Sony to reveal details on a web browser and more internet functionality for the US PSP at E3 this May. Perhaps by then we might have a date for the PSP in Europe; we can live in hope.
