UPDATE: InXile’s representative has clarified that the game has actually earned $1.5m in sales revenue, not sold 1.5 million copies.

ORIGINAL REPORT: Wasteland 2 has sold over 1.5 million copies on Steam within its first four days on sale, inXile Entertainment has announced.

The RPG launched last Friday, 19 September following a successful Kickstarter campaign that earned almost $3m in pledges.

“We are ecstatic that the style of game we love so much has been embraced so well,” said inXile Brian Fargo.

Wasteland 2 is the long-awaited sequel to 1988’s post-apocalyptic RPG and promises over 80 hours of gameplay. Jim’s been playing through it all week, so look out for our review later today.
