Slash-'em-up sequel Warriors Orochi 4 will be released in Europe on October 19, publisher Koei Tecmo has announced.

Warriors Orochi 4 will see the return of the fan-favourite cooperative mode, which can be played on split screen. The sequel will boast 170 characters plucked from both the Dynasty and Samurai Warriors series, and also introduces magical abilities for the first time.

These hail from artefacts known as the Sacred Treasures, which can then be channelled into spells to lob at the more challenging of enemies. Warriors Orochi 4 also lets you combine your magical might with an ally's to inflict 'devastating blows' in combat.

Warriors Orochi 4 is due out on PlayStation 4, PC, Switch, and Xbox One. Have a gander at a new trailer below.
