Activision believes Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock, the latest instalment in the multi-million selling music video game franchise, will achieve greater success than Guitar Hero 5.

Released around this time last year, Guitar Hero 5 shot straight to the top of the UK video game chart, ahead of rival The Beatles: Rock Band.

This success can be bettered by the latest game, Activision brand manager Jonathan Edney has told MCV.

“Such is the quality of the game and the campaign we’re pulling together to support it, that we fully expect it to beat last year’s numbers and help retain Hero’s position as the most valuable music gaming franchise in the world.”

The game will be in stores from Friday for Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii.
