What better way to prove that wannabe MOBA hit Guardians of Middle-earth is worth playing than to get a professional League of Legends team to compete in matches against gamescom attendees.

Warner has sought the help of LoL professional team Curse, who will be present on Warner’s gamescom booth in Hall 9 of the Kölnmesse from Thursday, August 16 until the show closes on Saturday, August 18. The team will be playing against consumers throughout the day.

At the end of each day, there will be an ultimate battle event between the pros and the best of the consumers from throughout the day.

Tomislav “flyy” Mihailov, the Curse EU team manager said “We are really excited to be working with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and can’t wait for gamescom. It is an honour to be one of the first teams involved in such a huge game which we think will provide even more opportunities for us and fans in the future. Guardians of Middle-earth is looking great; and, as I’m a huge fan of The Lord of the Rings myself, I am really looking forward to getting my hands on this game.”

Guardians of Middle-earth will be released this autumn for Xbox LIVE Arcade and PSN.
