While the popularity of the Matrix franchise has arguably waned for some, that hasn’t stopped Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment and Sega from displaying their dedication to it’s digital reimagining.

With the U.S launch of The Matrix Online less than a month away, the two partners announced both retail and monthly subscription prices for their product, in America anyway. The game itself will cost $49.99 (so expect the usual £30 price when it arrives in the UK), with WBIE charging a subsequent monthly subscription fee of $14.99 to players. This seems to be the current level for MMORPG’s, with both Everquest II and World of Warcraft requiring the same monthly fee. UK gamers can probably expect the fee to be around the £8.50 mark, but official pricing is yet to be revealed for non American territories.

We will have more news as it becomes available.
