Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide has now sold more than one million copies, independent developer Fatshark has announced.

The game launched for PC in October 2015, then a year later for PS4 and Xbox One.

“We are ecstatic to have reached the one million milestone, and are very humbled that so many have invested their time and money in our game,” said Martin Wahlund, CEO Fatshark.

In celebration of the sales milestone, Fatshark is giving away the Lorebook DLC totally free to PC players, though they will need to work for it.

“The pages have been ripped out of the book and scattered around Ubersreik. As you collect them, you will unlock the stories behind various locations, enemies, and the heroes, as well as information about the Warhammer Fantasy world,” states Fatshark.

Console players can enjoy the recently released free Quests & Contract DLC.

Contracts contain objectives that, once completed, will grant you a reward such as crafting tokens or weapons. The majority of contracts are one-off tasks.

Boons are a completely new kind of reward that grants you a timed power-up. They’re granted and activated upon the completion of a certain contracts.

Quests are more long term and require you to beat a certain amount of specific contracts. Whilst these may take longer to complete, the reward is all the more sweet
