Warhammer 40K: Dark Millennium Online is currently aiming for a March 13, 2013 release date, according to the official website.
This is an upcoming MMORPG based on Games Workshop’s Warhammer 40,000 was initially announced in 2007. It is currently being developed by Vigil Games, however Relic is set to help the process along.
The game has been described as ‘special’ by THQ head Danny Bilson.
The last Warhammer MMO, Warhammer Online, was hit hard by World of Warcraft when it launched. WoW’s second expansion coincided with the new MMO, and helped to decimate Warhammer Online’s player-base. With WoW’s own subscriber-base dwindling, it will be interesting to see how this game does in comparison.
