Reports are coming in that several Wal-Mart stores have already set up their Xbox 360 demo pods and are available to play. Many other stores are in the process of setting up their demo pods in the run-up to the Xbox 360’s North American launch on November 22nd. Gamespot has called several West Coast stores and found that only store #2549 in Spokane, Washington had the demo pod set-up and ready to play. Speaking to a store clerk they were told that the console was running a demo disc containing Call of Duty 2 and several other games.

Gaming blog Joystiq has been getting similar reports, with readers confirming games running on the demo pods to be Call of Duty 2, King Kong and Kameo. These three games are also confirmed as being playable, but be weary of small children who will try to push you off the demo pod to get their grubby little mitts on the Xbox 360 controller.

It might be a while before we begin to see demo pods popping up around Europe, but we will be sure to let you know once they do.
