Microsoft has announced a Viva Piñata 2 treasure hunt which will go live from Friday across Xbox.com.

The hunt will have users of Xbox.com searching for hidden piñata eggs which when moused over will release a little piñata. Click the piñata to open a PDF document featuring an exclusive Piñata Vision card which can be printed off and scanned into Viva Piñata 2 using the Xbox LIVE Vision camera. 25 piñata cards will be hidden on Xbox.com and a further 25 will be scattered across the Xbox Community Network.

The Viva Piñata community site has also gone live and provides players of Viva Piñata 2 with the ability to upload photos of their gardens and their Piñata Vision cards to the website and share them with the world.

Viva Piñata 2 will be in stores this Friday for Xbox 360 and will be joined by Viva Piñata: Pocket Paradise on Nintendo DS.
