Capcom has announced that a new multiplayer mode for Resident Evil 5 will be released post-launch as paid digital content via Xbox LIVE and PlayStation Network. The new ‘Versus’ mode will pit players against each other in online battles.
Up to four players can take part in two different game types:
Slayer: A point-based game that challenges players to kill Majinis.
Survivor: Players hunt the most dangerous game, each other!
Choose from Chris, Sheva or other secret characters and opt for either one-on-one or two-versus-two team matches for either of the two gameplay styles.
Versus mode will be released in a few weeks on Xbox LIVE Marketplace priced 400 MS Points and PlayStation Network priced $4.99.
