Bungie has announced a series of events heading to Destiny starting today and continuing through to October, including the first 6-player Raid.
First up is ‘Salvage’, a new Crucible Weekend Playlist available from today through to Sunday, September 14 that sees teams of 3v3 attempting to secure relics, disrupt enemy probes and “destroy the opposition”. Be victorious and you’ll be rewarded with Crucible Gear, Crucible Marks and Crucible Reputation.
Then, next Tuesday September 16, Bungie will open the first 6-player co-op Raid that tasks players with venturing into the ‘Vault of Glass’, a mysterious area beneath Venus that holds secret Raid Set Gear and Ascendent Materials.
Two more Crucible events ‘Combined Arms’ and ‘Iron Banner’ will roll out later this month and next, along with a new ‘Queen’s Wrath’ event that appears to be a new mission.
“These are only some of the surprises we have planned for you,” said Bungie. “Very soon, strange characters will arrive in the Tower with special offerings in hand. Public Events will erupt from the skies over your favourite destinations with greater frequency. And, Bungie will enter the fray with some bounties of our own for you to claim – if you can.”
Destiny launched earlier this week on PS4, PS3, Xbox One and Xbox 360. Want to know what we think of it? Take a listen to our special Destiny podcast below.
