The Unreal Tournament Pre-Alpha is live and now features new map Outpost 23, which is being used as a showcase for where the team at Epic want the community developed shooter to go.

Outpost 23 sets the visual bar for the game, and also gives the community a host of high quality assets to make use of in their own maps. Joining Outpost 23 is DM-Lea by CaptainMigraine, available for free from the marketplace.

In addition to the maps you can access the Malcolm and Necris characters.

“The journey over the past year couldn’t have happened without everyone around the world who has contributed to the game in some way, and we hope the modding tools and marketplace will continue to help make the game and the community even better,” wrote Epic in its blog.

You’ll find UT Pre-Alpha inside the Epic Game Launcher.
