Midway has today confirmed to VideoGamer.com that the highly anticipated PlayStation 3 first-person shooter, Unreal Tournament 3, is on track for release later this month.
A Midway spokesperson revealed that the publisher is currently “shooting for Feb 22”, meaning the game’s release is less than three weeks away.
The PC game arrived late last year and delivered the kind of multiplayer gaming Epic Games does like no other developer. It was bigger and questionably better than what came before and should prove a hit on PS3.
The PS3 version not only looks up there with the best the PC can offer, but also features compatibility with PC developed mods – a first for a home console title.
The game is also in development for Xbox 360, although at this time no release date has been confirmed.
