Epic Games vp Mark Rein has confirmed that a playable PC demo of Unreal Tournament 3 will be hitting the internet very soon.
In a post over on the official Epic Games forums, Rein said: “Just wanted to give you a heads’ up that we’re getting pretty close to releasing the Unreal Tournament 3 Beta Demo for Windows. The Beta Demo will allow instant action play against bots as well as online multiplayer. The purpose of the Beta Demo is to test the game on a large variety of hardware configurations and get gameplay feedback from the community.“
Although Rein says to be prepared to wait up to two weeks for the demo to appear, he does state that “it could come out this week“.
Unreal Tournament 3 is expected to release for PC in November, with the PlayStation 3 version now expected early in 2008 and the Xbox 360 version some time after that.
