Coming soon after the news that any chance of a unified disc format, between Blu-Ray and HD-DVD, was over, it would seem that once again unification may happen.

According to Nikkei Net, Toshiba and Sony may meet again later this month to discuss the unified format, after some scheduled shareholder meetings. The meetings will coincide with a reshuffling of management for both companies.

We reported earlier today that Ken Kutaragi, Sony Computer Entertainment president, had declared the discussions for unification over, after neither party could agree on format. It would now appear that the companies are hopeful the new management can agree a deal.
