Despite poor reviews Rainbow Six: Lockdown has shot straight in at the top of the UK videogame chart, displacing last week’s chart topper, Ridge Racer. Brian Lara International Cricket continues to sell remarkably well and holds onto the number 2 position. Sales could even pick up thanks to the Cricket frenzy caused by England’s Ashes victory.

This week’s second highest new entry is Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction (No.4), an all out action fest where the key to the game appears to be to destroy everything. Expect a review later this week. There are two new entries from the PSP with Coded Arms at No.17 and Colin McRae making No.33 (A review of which will appear on the site tomorrow).

With the PSP sales having settled down after last week’s craziness there are plenty of climbers in the chart, with Delta Force: Black Hawk Down, Super Monkey Ball Deluxe and Gametrak – Real World Golf, the most notable.

Next week we can expect to see new entries in the form of Fahrenheit (PC, PS2, Xbox) and Burnout Legends (PSP), with Bet on Soldier (PC), Madden NFL 2006 (all formats) and Total Overdose also hoping for chart success.
