A few weeks back TMNT debuted outside the top ten, but now with the hype around the movie and the Easter holiday sales behind it the game has climbed to the top of the chart.
Challenging TMNT this week is Pokemon Ranger on Nintendo DS. The latest in the Gotta catch ’em all series is a new entry at No.2.
Ubisoft titles are also found scattered throughout the rest of the chart, with a number of well promoted PC budget releases seeing strong sales. In total 10 Ubisoft titles feature in the All Formats Top 40, including Rayman 2: The Great Escape at No.3, Brothers in Arma: Road to Hill 30 at No.6 and Prince of Persia: The Sand of Time at No.10.
With all these new entries EA’s Command & Conquer 3 slips to No.5, but Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07 (thanks very much to the US Masters Golf) climbs five places and now sits at No.4.
Signs of the PS3’s slowing sales are evident in the chart, with MotorStorm falling to No.22, while Resistance: Fall of Man plummets to No.27. The Xbox 360 chart continues to be dominated by Guitar Hero II and 300 movie tie-in 300: March to Glory continues its reign at the top of the PSP chart.
New titles arriving this week include F.E.A.R. for PS3, Diddy Kong Racing DS, Free Running, Zendoku and The Godfather: Don’s Edition for PS3.
