The LEGO Movie Videogame is the new All Formats All Prices UK Video Games Chart No.1, becoming the sixth LEGO game to reach the top spot.
42 per cent of sales were on Xbox 360, 20 per cent on PS3, 14 per cent on PS4 and 9 on Xbox One.
The family-friendly game sold 15,000 more units than Call of Duty: Ghosts at No.2, which is followed by Square Enix’s Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy 13 at No.3. FIFA 14 is knocked down to No.4.
Price promotions continue to help GTA 5 which is up 47 per cent to No.5, whilst Assassin’s Creed 4 is up 47 per cent to No.8.
ChartTrack reports that one eighth of the Top 40 is made up of LEGO titles, which in addition to LEGO Movie include LEGO Marvel Super Heroes at No.6, LEGO Batman 2 at No.19, LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga at No.22, and LEGO The Lord of the Rings at NO.27.

Given that Lightning Returns is sure to be heavily front-loaded, a No.3 debut has to go down as a failure for the third game in the series.
The LEGO Movie has it all to do next week to hold on to the No.1 spot, with Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze and Rayman Legends (Xbox One, PS4) hitting stores.
