EA Sports has celebrated a sixth successive week at No.1 for FIFA 15, fending off no fewer than eight Top 40 new entries.
Xbox One exclusive Sunset Overdrive must make do with a second place entry, but with a string of major titles set to follow its tail, it will be a concern for all involved parties.
The week’s seven other new entries include WWE 2K15 at No.5 – though the new-gen version is yet to launch – followed at No.11 by Lords of the Fallen. We then have to drop down to No.23 to find Telltale’s The Walking Dead: Season 2, Farming Simulator 15 at No.25, and The Walking Dead: Game of the Year at No.36. MX vs ATV Supercross takes 38th and is joined in the Top 40 by PS Vita action title Freedom Wars.

With Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare hitting stores today/tomorrow there’s no question that Activision will have another big No.1 on its hands, but will it perform better than last year’s disappointing Call of Duty: Ghosts? Football Manager 2015 will also make a big slash inside the Top 5, but as with most PC releases strong digital sales won’t count towards chart position.
