The HD version of Resident Evil Revelations is this week’s UK no.1, ousting last week’s top-seller Metro: Last Light from the top spot.
Resident Evil Revelations HD achieved greater chart success than last year’s 3DS version, which debuted at the no. 6 spot when it released back in January 2012. Sales figures for the re-release, however, have yet to be released.
The game is Capcom’s second no.1 of the year, following DmC: Devil May Cry back in January.
Elsewhere this week, FIFA 13 climbs a place to no.2 as Metro: Last Light falls two spaces to no.3. Dead Island: Riptide follows at no.4, with Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D making its debut at no.5.
The only other new release this week is Fast & Furious: Showdown, which enters the charts at no.14. Don’t be too tempted by Activision’s movie tie-in, though. Expect to see that littering the pre-owned bins in the week’s ahead…
Price promotions on a range of EA titles also sees The Sims 3, Dead Space 3 and Crysis 3 returning to the Top 40, with Crytek’s shooter climbing all the way to no.22.
This week’s biggest faller, however, is Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, which slips a huge fourteen places from no.5 to no.19.
