Activision has claimed its first UK All Formats All Prices No.1 spot of 2009, with open-world action title Prototype switching places with The Sims 3.
Sales of Prototype are down 20 per cent in its second week, but this was good enough to jump ahead of The Sims 3 which saw its sales dive 49 per cent. Prototype remains most popular on Xbox 360, with 61 per cent of sales on Microsoft’s console, 36 per cent on PS3 and three per cent on PC.
Wii Fit climbs one place to No.3, Ghostbusters is new at No.4 (98 per cent of sales on PS3, two per cent on PS2), and Call of Duty: World at War sees sales soar 59 per cent, enough to claim the No.5 position.
THQ’s Red Faction Guerrilla falls to No.6, UFC 2009 slips two places to No.7, EA Sports Active is at No.8, Virtua Tennis 2009 is up to No.9 and Grand Slam Tennis is up three places to No.10. Sales of EA’s tennis title are more than double that of SEGA’s Virtua Tennis 2009 on Wii, with the latter only appearing higher in the chart because of its multiple formats.
LucasArts’ Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings is up 158 per cent in its second week, enough to see the title jump from No.32 to No.13. The week’s only other new entry is 505 Games’ ArmA II which debuts at No.19.
Titles to look out for next week include Fight Night Round 3, a bunch of new Overlord titles, Guitar Hero: Greatest Hits, Ice Age 3, Spore: Galactic Adventures and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.
