Valve and EA’s Portal 2 has entered the All Formats All Prices UK video game chart at No.1, beating out Warner’s Mortal Kombat which has to settle for No.2.
Black Ops climbed six places to No.3, Zumba Fitness is down to No.4, LEGO Star Wars III slips to No.5 and Codemasters’ Operation Flashpoint: Red River is new at No.6.
Other new releases faired less well. Sony’s SOCOM: Special Forces is new at No.28, Carnival Games: In Action! Is at No.29 and SEGA’s Wii Exclusive shooter Conduit 2 missed the Top 40 entirely.

It’s worth remembering that Portal 2 made the top spot despite a large chunk of sales taking place via Steam which isn’t tracked by ChartTrack.
Codemasters’ will have to be pleased by a top ten place for Operation Flashpoint, given the massive competition for new game purchases over the Easter weekend.
Friday’s new releases include Thor, Darkspore and Virtua Tennis 4, which can hope for top ten places at best. Persona 3 also arrives on PSP, but a top 40 place would be an achievement for such a niche title.
