GfK ChartTrack reports that BioWare’s Mass Effect 2 has held on to its All Formats All Prices No.1 spot, despite a 64 per cent drop in sales leaving the game in close proximity to Ubisoft’s Just Dance at No.2 – just 850 units separate the two games.

Activision’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 managed to retain third spot, despite the newly released Dante’s Inferno from EA breathing down its neck at No.4. EA is, however, able to claim three places in the Top 5, with FIFA 10 up two places to No.5 thanks to a 26 per cent bump in sales.

Elsewhere, new releases Star Trek Online and MX Vs ATV Reflex debut at No.11 and No.18 respectively. The Sims 3 add-on, Design & High Tech Stuff, is also new at No.20.

It seems likely we’ll have a new No.1 next week, with Take-Two’s BioShock 2 hitting stores tomorrow – three extra days at retail than usual for a new release. Hitting stores on Friday, February 12 are Half Minute Hero, Super Monkey Ball: Step & Roll, Star Ocean: The Last Hope International and Safar’Wii.
