SEGA can celebrate a third week atop the UK All Formats All Prices video game chart with Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games. The Wii version accounted for 58% of total sales thanks to renewed stock at retail.

So strong were sales of Mario & Sonic that it outsold Call of Duty 4 by four-to-one. Brain Training climbs from No.7 to No.3, and is one of four Nintendo ‘Training’ games inside the Top 20: Brain Training, More Brain Training, Sight Training and Maths Training.

Capcom’s Devil May Cry 4 slips two places to No.4, with sales down by 54%, Midway’s Game Party climbs to No.6 and Unreal Tournament 3 re-enters the chart at No.9 thanks to the newly released PS3 version – No.1 in the PS3 chart.

EA’s FIFA Street 3 only managed to place at No.11, failing to match the Top 3 chart positions of the previous two titles. Cooking Mama 2 is up a huge 89% and climbs over 20 places to No.12 in its second week on release. The only other new entry to break the Top 40 is SEGA’s Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity at No.37.

Next week sees the release of Frontlines: Fuel of War and the three lost games: Lost: Via Domus, Lost Planet and Lost Odyssey.
