LEGO Batman 2 comfortably sees off super hero newcomer The Amazing Spider-Man to hold on at the top of the All Formats All Prices UK video game chart – a 17 per cent drop on week two is hugely impressive for the family game.

The Amazing Spider-Man is at No.2, with 56 per cent of sales on Xbox 360 and 42 per cent on PS3.

2K Games’ Spec Ops: The Line is new at No.3, followed by SEGA’s London 2012 at No.4 and FIFA 12 at No.5.

Ghost Recon: Future Soldier slides to No.6, Skyrim rises to No.7 with a 121 per cent increase in sales no doubt thanks to the new Dawnguard DLC, and Max Payne 3 is at No.8.

Metal Gear Solid: HD is propelled back into the Top 10 at No.10 thanks to the new PS Vita version. Sales for the game are up 532 per cent, with the Vita version becoming one of the biggest launches on the platform outside of launch week – just behind Unit 13 and Gravity Rush.

The Ratchet & Clank Trilogy is new at No.11, while Mass Effect 3 jumps to No.15 and Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary re-enters the Top 40 at No.21.
