GRAW 2 has bettered the chart position of its predecessor, taking the No.1 spot in its first week on sale. GRAW, despite shifting 10,000 more units in its first week, never reached the top of the chart.

Final Fantasy XII fails in its attempt to make it a hat trick of No.1s, falling to No.2 in the All Formats Chart. GTA: Vice City Stories, despite its attractive budget price, only makes it to No.3, and Microsoft’s Crackdown is unable to cope with GRAW 2 and falls three places to No.5. SEGA’s Sonic and the Secret Rings does better though, moving up one place to No.4.

This week’s only other new entry comes from Nintendo’s Mario Vs Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis. The DS game only managed to enter at No.32, but that was considerably better than several other new releases. The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift only makes No.10 in the PS2 chart, while Atari’s Bullet Witch can only manage No.7 in the Xbox 360 chart.

Friday sees the release of Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2007 Wii, Test Drive Unlimited for PS2 and PC, Spectrobes, SSX Blur, Samurai Warriors 2: Empires for PS2 and Xbox 360, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Justice for All and Championship Manager 2007 for PS2 and PSP. Despite this flurry of new releases it’s hard to see the top spots changing all that dramatically.
