Despite sales being down 45% over last week, Forza Motorsport 2 manages to hold onto the top spot, ahead of 2K Games’ Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer which saw a 70% rise in sales.

Codemasters’ Colin McRae Dirt climbs one place to No.3, with Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End falling to No.4. Nintendo’s Wii Play holds firm at No.5.

The highest new entry comes from Activision with Shrek The Third at No.13, although expect this to climb much higher once the movie hits the theatres on June 29. Right behind the green ogre is Empire’s FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage for Xbox 360 at No.14, with 505 Games’ Armored Core 4 (PS3, Xbox 360) just about managing a Top 40 spot at No.39.

Friday is a busy day for new releases with Wizards, gun-slingers, an overlord and Zombies all fighting for your money. Releases of note include Call of Juarez for Xbox 360, Driver Parallel Lines (Wii, PC), Hour of Victory (Xbox 360), Overlord (Xbox 360, PC) and Rainbow Six Vegas (PS3, PSP).

However, it’s Resident Evil 4 Wii, The Darkness (Xbox 360), More Brain Training (DS) and Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix that should provide next-week’s highest new entries.
