Chart Track reports that LucasArts’ Star Wars: The Force Unleashed has held onto the All Formats All Prices No.1 spot, despite some hefty competition from Wii Fit.
The Force Unleashed saw sales fall 38 per cent in its second week, but its multi-format power means it’s able to hold on despite renewed stock of Wii Fit. In fact there was so much stock around of Wii Fit that the game recorded its third largest sales week and a 75 per cent rise in sales. Nintendo’s Mario Kart Wii is also a non-mover at No.3 with sales up 26 per cent.
Ubisoft’s Brothers in Arms: Hell’s Highway is the week’s highest new entry at No.4, with 65 per cent of all sales on Xbox 360. Disney’s off-road racer Pure is also new this week at No.8. Elsewhere Tiger Woods 09 is down one place to No.5 while Mercenaries 2 falls from No.6 to No.11. There’s also a new entry for Atari at No.20 with Family Trainer.
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed’s reign isn’t expected to go on for much longer though; we fully expect EA’s FIFA 09 to sell like pies at St James’ Park and enter the All Formats All Prices chart at No.1.
