The release of World Cup Germany 2006 on PSP ensures the game takes its fourth successive first place, with Tomb Raider: Legend once again heading the chasing pack. Animal Crossing on the DS continues to impress, moving up the chart to third. The news isn’t so impressive for fellow DS titles, Metroid Prime: Hunters and Pokemon Link!. Hunters drops thirteen places to No.23 and Pokemon takes a seven place tumble to No.21.

The chart’s highest new entry comes from X-Men: The Official Game at No.5, with The Da Vinci Code at No.11, Urban Chaos: Riot Response at No.17, and Heroes of Might & Magic V managing to place at No.28. Expect to see X-Men make a dash for the top spot as the hype around the imminent movie release builds.

This week’s most high profile new release is Hitman: Blood Money, which Eidos hopes will make its mark on the chart. Other titles battling for chart positions are SiN Episodes: Emergence, Rise of Nations: Rise of Legends, Super Princess Peach and the budget Xbox 360 title Table Tennis.
