EA Sports FIFA 11 has kicked off 2011 at the top of the All Formats All Prices UK video game chart, despite strong competition from Ubisoft’s Just Dance 2 which climbed to No.2.
With no new game releases to speak of, it was a chance for previously released titles to make a move. Wii Fit Plus jumped from No.13 to No.5, Art Academy makes a chart re-entry at No.11, EA Sports Active 2 jumps back into the chart at No.13 and Mass Effect 2 benefits from aggressive retailer pricing to place at No.18.

After a slow start to the year, Friday sees the release of the much delayed PC and PS3 MMO DC Universe Online, plus Capcom’s DS adventure game Ghost Trick and the Square Enix action RPG Kingdom Hearts Re:coded.
This is also the first time since launch that Call of Duty: Black Ops has charted outside the first two places, having to settle for third place.
