FIFA 07 held the top spot for eight weeks in 2006, more than any other title in a single calendar year since Medal of Honor: Frontline which charted at No.1 ten times in 2002.

Post Christmas promotions have provided us with some big movers this week, with Rockstar’s Canis Canem Edit climbing twelve places to No.8, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07 jumping from No.22 to No.12, and Tomb Raider: Legend leaping from No.39 to No.13.

Not all games faired as well post-Xmas, with Midway’s Happy Feet down from No.7 to No.21 and Eidos’ Who Wants to be a Millionaire: Party Edition also falling down the chart to No.23.

Wii sales also slumped with no exclusive Wii title making the Top 40, and The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess was replaced by Ubisoft’s Red Steel at the top of the Wii chart.

Next week’s chart is expected to look much the same, with only a handful of new releases hitting retail, none of which are likely to worry the chart big hitters.
