Capcom’s DmC Devil May Cry ends FIFA 13’s run at the top of the All Formats All Prices UK video game chart, and becomes the publisher’s first chart topper since Resident Evil 5 back in week 13 of 2009.

However, the picture isn’t as rosy as it may first appear. Chart-Track reports that DmC sold “over a third of what Devil May Cry 4 did at launch when it also reached No1, back in week 6 2008”. With nothing new in stores on Friday, let’s hope DmC can record a strong second week of sales.

FIFA 13 drops to No.2, followed by Black Ops 2, Far Cry 3 and NFS Most Wanted.

Elsewhere, Halo 4 plummets from No.7 to No.22, whist SEGA’s Anarchy Reigns slips from No.16 to No.31.
