Chart Track reports that Call of Duty: World at War has held on for a third successive week at the top of the All Formats All Prices video game chart. This success comes despite a continued decline in sales, this week down 30 per cent over the last.

In fact, CoD: World at War was one of only a few titles not to see a week-on-week increase; three quarters of the Top 40 increased their sell through. Need for Speed: Undercover is up 35 per cent and climbs to No.2, Tomb Raider: Underworld is up 12 per cent, FIFA 09 is up 12 per cent, Mario Kart Wii is up 17 per cent, Brain Training is up an impressive 28 per cent and PES 2009 takes advantage of retailer promotions and climbs two places to No.6 with a 21 per cent boost.

The week's only new entry is Sony's Resistance 2 for PS3. The game makes its All Formats Chart debut at No.10 with launch week sales only around two-thirds of the original. There have been reports of retailer shortages so we might not get the full picture until next week.

Elsewhere Gears of War 2 slips to No.17, LittleBigPlanet is down to No.32, Left 4 Dead dives down the chart to No.34 and Mirror's Edge clings on to a Top 40 place at No.39.

Next week look out for strong new entries for Ubisoft's Prince of Persia and Nintendo's Animal Crossing: Let's Go To The City, along with a re-entry for Grand Theft Auto IV thanks to the newly released PC version.
