Although now in its third week on sale, Cars was boosted by the film’s release, giving rise to an 88% rise in sales – enough to claim the chart No.1 spot. GTA slips to No.2 and the rest of the chart is pretty much as it was.

Sony’s Formula 1 06 on PlayStation 2 and PSP is the highest new entry, coming in at No.16, with Vivendi Games’ Miami Vice on the PSP only managing to place at No.25 – a new entry, but its second week on sale. Other PSP releases didn’t perform too well, with Juiced: Eliminator at No.11, and Field Commander at No.14 in the PSP chart.

Civilization IV: Warlords finds itself at No.1 in the PC chart, but languishes down at No.36 in the All Prices, All Format Chart. It was also a disappointing week for the Xbox 360, with Prey (PC and Xbox 360) falling to No.17, and Battle for Middle-earth II dropping to No.20. The titles are No.1 and No.2 respectively in the Xbox 360 chart.

Friday’s new releases don’t really excite, with SingStar Anthems and Monster House the only titles likely to make any impression on the chart.
